Welcome to The Deepings u3a
Learn, Laugh, Live!
“Nobody needs to stop learning just because they have finished working.”
The Deepings u3a is for people who want to keep active in mind and body, enjoy socialising, and are no longer in full time employment.
u3a Members benefit from being able to join any of our Interest Groups which cover a wide variety of subjects. Some members join the u3a just to attend our interesting monthly meetings but most participate in one or more of our friendly Groups led by knowledgeable and enthusiastic leaders.
The Deepings u3a is part of the nationwide organisation, University of the Third Age, a self-help organisation of people no longer in full-time employment, providing education, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment. Anyone in their third age can join The Deepings u3a and this includes people who are working part time. All you need is interest and enthusiasm.
The Deepings u3a has over 30 groups which can offer you the opportunity to participate in activities including walking, history, gardening and science and to learn and share skills and knowledge and make new friends. Groups are led by members who are happy to share their expertise and enthusiasm. Our newsletter provides a monthly update of activities.
You are very welcome to come to a couple of our monthly meetings or to try out a group, if it has places available, as a guest, before you decide to become a member. We are always looking for new friends to join us. The Committee look forward to meeting you.
